The Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering program at Boston University's College of Engineering is a top-ranked, ABET-accredited undergraduate program. It provides rigorous interdisciplinary training combining engineering, mathematics, and basic sciences with biology and physiology at multiple scales, from molecules to whole organisms. The curriculum includes advanced coursework, hands-on labs, programming, engineering design, statistics, data science, and culminates in a senior design capstone project. Students can specialize in fields such as instrumentation, sensory and neural systems, imaging, biomolecular engineering, and machine learning. The program is designed to prepare students for diverse careers in industry, healthcare, research, and graduate or professional studies (including medical school); virtually all premedical requirements can be satisfied within the program.
