The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Communication is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program at Boston University's School of Hospitality Administration (SHA) in collaboration with the College of Communication (COM). The program combines hospitality management fundamentals—including experience innovation, event planning, and hospitality business functions—with communication skills in public relations, advertising, media, and content development. Students are required to complete 128 credits, including foundational, core, and elective courses across both hospitality and communication disciplines. An international experience and 600 hours of supervised on-the-job experience are required, preparing graduates for leadership at the intersection of service, storytelling, and business strategy across industries where people and profit matter.
