The Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology M.S. program at UCSB's College of Letters and Science offers a broad, interdisciplinary curriculum focusing on ecological and evolutionary principles as well as marine biology and oceanography. The program supports depth in sub-disciplines including population and community ecology, ecosystems ecology, limnology, biological oceanography, ecological physiology, evolution, population genetics, climate science, and organismal biology. Students gain research proficiency through experimental and modeling projects and have opportunities for field work, teaching, and outreach. Graduates pursue careers in academia, governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, and top research institutions.
