The UCSB College of Letters and Science offers the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree across a wide range of scientific disciplines. The program combines rigorous coursework in science and mathematics with a broad liberal arts foundation. Students must fulfill general education requirements in English composition, foreign language, science and mathematics, social sciences, culture and thought, arts, and literature, along with specialized writing requirements.
