This dual degree program, starting Fall 2025, allows students to earn both a Master of Science in Climate and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from the Columbia Climate School and GSAPP. The program integrates climate science and urban design to prepare leaders for sustainable and climate-resilient cities. The curriculum combines three semesters at GSAPP (urban design studios, design theory, site research) and two semesters at the Climate School (climate systems, risk, adaptation), for a total of 77 credits completed in under two years. Graduates are equipped for careers at the intersection of climate adaptation, sustainable design, urban policy, and environmental innovation.
