The Physics B.S. program at the University of California Santa Cruz provides comprehensive training in core physics concepts, proficiency in mathematics as applied to physics, and hands-on laboratory experience. Students develop abilities in classical and quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and electromagnetism, as well as key skills in scientific measurement and communication (oral and written). Students are also required to complete general education requirements and have the opportunity to conduct a senior thesis project under faculty supervision.
