The Agroecology B.A. at UC Santa Cruz, offered through the Department of Environmental Studies in the Division of Social Sciences, provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary education in agroecology and sustainable food systems. The major integrates both ecological and social science perspectives, including soil and water processes, plant and microbial ecology, ecosystem services, agricultural policy, food justice, and sustainable farm management. Students engage in experiential learning through field courses, internships, and research.
