The Master of Arts in Public Humanities (Integrative Studies) at Brown University is a two-year, on-campus program designed to explore contemporary humanities through the lenses of race, decolonial practices, and social justice. Students enroll in a structured curriculum with tracks including Museums/Public History, Art/Curation, Nonprofit Management, and Digital Humanities. The program blends theory and practice, linking academic debate to real-world issues in cultural institutions and communities. Students complete 10 required courses (6 core, 4 electives) and an uncredited summer practicum, gaining interdisciplinary training to lead institutional and social change in fields such as museums, arts organizations, heritage sectors, and nonprofits.
