Brown University’s Chemical Engineering Sc.M. program prepares students to address technological and societal challenges through a molecular and atomic-scale engineering approach. The interdisciplinary curriculum covers catalyst design, reaction engineering, nanoscience, electrochemistry, renewable energy, biotechnology, transport processes, and carbon-based materials. Students may opt for a Non-Thesis, Thesis, or Professional track (which includes an experiential learning component such as an internship). The program provides a rigorous foundation in engineering fundamentals, flexibility in course selection, and opportunities for research engagement and hands-on industry experience.
