This program explores the physiological, biochemical, and psychosocial aspects of nutrition, as well as public health and health promotion. Students learn about dietary requirements across the lifespan, factors influencing food choices, the science of behavior change, and how nutrition affects wellbeing, disease management, and prevention. The course draws on academic expertise in nutrition, food science, microbiology, public health, and analytical sciences. Hands-on laboratory experience, placement opportunities, and industry techniques in the modern Alison Gingell Building are integral to the curriculum. The course is accredited by the Association for Nutrition, enabling graduates to apply for the UKVRN Register as Registered Associate Nutritionists (ANutr).
