The Health and Social Care BA (Hons) at Coventry University equips students with knowledge and skills to support the delivery of health and social care in various settings such as the NHS, local authorities, private providers, and the third sector. The curriculum combines theoretical and practical learning, addressing the interaction of sociology, social policy, and health. Core modules cover health and wellbeing, working in health and social care, healthy environments, contemporary social issues, mental health and social policy, and research methods. Students gain a broad perspective on service provision, vulnerability in society, and leadership in health and social care. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of roles (healthcare support, public health, community care) and postgraduate study (nursing, social work, teaching). Flexible exit awards (HNC after year 1, HND after year 2) are available.
