The University of Melbourne does not offer a direct Bachelor of Engineering. Instead, students typically undertake a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Design with an engineering systems major as a pathway, followed by a Master of Engineering for professional accreditation. The undergraduate pathway provides multidisciplinary foundational knowledge in engineering principles, problem solving, mathematics, and science, enabling graduates to specialise in civil, electrical, mechanical, software, or biomedical systems and progress to the professionally accredited Melbourne Master of Engineering.
