The MSc in Post-Soviet Public Policy is a double degree, English-taught program jointly delivered by the Faculty of Political Science at Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). The program focuses on the political institutions, processes, and public policy implementation specific to post-Soviet states. Combining Western approaches and regional expertise, the curriculum develops analytical, research, and policy-making skills relevant to complex sociopolitical and economic contexts in Russia and the broader Eurasian region. Students spend the first year at MSU and the second year at MGIMO, taught by leading professors and international experts, and participate in workshops, practical classes, and possible internships. Graduates earn dual Master’s degrees and are equipped for careers in policy analysis, international organizations, academia, consulting, and governmental agencies.
