All applicants, both domestic and international, are required to upload ‘UNOFFICIAL’ transcripts for all institutions attended, at the time of application. Applicants who are subsequently recommended for admission by their respective graduate program must submit ‘OFFICIAL’ transcripts and/or proof of degree(s) for all previous institutions attended as a condition of being officially admitted to the university as outlined below.
For all post secondary work and/or degrees awarded outside of the United States, you must request an official credential evaluation report through International Evaluation Research Foundation (IERF) be sent to BYU Graduate Studies.

Personal Statement:
Before filling out the Statement of Intent section, please review the faculty pages on this site.
Review the faculty research interests and select one or two faculty members that interest you.
Read, at minimum, the abstract of one article associated with that research area, found on the faculty page. This will help you write a focused, effective Statement of Intent.
Statements of Intent are preferably around 2 pages in length.
Recommendation Letter:
At least three recommenders for your application. Recommenders must submit letters online. Letters should be from people who can make recommendations about academic potential. Letters from friends, family members or ecclesiastical leaders are unacceptable.
