UNSW Sydney’s Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours) offered by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture is Australia’s longest-established undergraduate program in the field. The four-year, full-time, professionally accredited degree prepares students to become Registered Landscape Architects. Coursework includes design, communication, environmental and social sciences, landscape technology, history, theory, and professional practice. An embedded honours component allows for advanced research skills. The curriculum consists of 31 courses (15 core, 10 design studios, 6 electives). Students benefit from work integrated learning, with opportunities for professional placements and international exchange. The program is recognized by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. UNSW’s School of Built Environment is ranked #1 in Sydney and #23 globally in the field (QS 2025).
