UNSW's Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice (BCCJ) is a top-ranked (EduRank, 2024) 3-year undergraduate program designed to provide critical insight into the causes of crime, criminal behaviour, and deviance, as well as the societal and legal responses to crime. The curriculum covers historical and contemporary issues, including drug policy, human rights, sexual and alcohol-related violence, organised crime, and Indigenous mass incarceration. Students learn about the functioning and impact of key criminal justice institutions (police, courts, prisons) and gain real-world learning experiences through case studies and engagement with professionals. Graduates are prepared for a range of careers in crime, justice, and social impact fields in Australia and globally.
