The Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) at UNSW Sydney (Faculty of Science) is a four-year undergraduate degree providing comprehensive interdisciplinary training in biotechnology. The curriculum begins with the fundamentals of biology, chemistry, and mathematics, before advancing into core biotechnology topics including molecular biology, microbiology, chemistry, genetics, and biotechnology commercialisation. The final year is an Honours research year, where students undertake an independent research project under supervision. Graduates are prepared for roles in pharmaceuticals, food, industrial chemicals, agriculture and livestock, environmental remediation, forensics, and more.
