The Bachelor of Medical Science at UNSW, jointly offered by the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine & Health, is a three-year full-time program focusing on the foundations of modern medical science. Students study the structure, function, and diseases of the human body through subjects in cell & molecular biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, and related biomedical disciplines. The program is designed to prepare graduates for careers in biomedical research, the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, health policy, or as a pathway to medicine and paramedical graduate programs. The course structure provides opportunities for both broad scientific training and specialization through majors.
