Georgetown University's Berkley School of Nursing offers a distance-based, online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP). The program prepares experienced registered nurses to manage the care of patients with acute, complex, and critical conditions—particularly in hospital, emergency, or intensive care settings. The curriculum is delivered through interactive online courses, live sessions, and hands-on clinical experiences. Students complete 600 clinical hours and 3 intensive on-campus sessions, developing practical advanced skills such as diagnostic reasoning, acute care procedures, and ethical decision making. Upon graduation, students are eligible to sit for national certification (ANCC, AACN) and seek licensure as advanced practice nurse practitioners.
