The Master of Science in Global Infectious Disease at Georgetown University prepares students to address complex global infectious disease challenges through a unique integration of science, mathematical modeling, epidemiology, policy, and diplomacy. Students pursue focused concentrations in either data science/modeling or science policy. The interdisciplinary curriculum equips graduates with the critical skills needed for careers in fields such as infectious disease epidemiology, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, advocacy, health diplomacy, and government. The program includes 30 credit hours, with most courses offered in the evening for working professionals. Students may engage in internships and select electives aligning with their interests. Graduates are positioned for roles in public health, consulting, further doctoral study, or professional schools.
