The BS-IBLC is a joint interdisciplinary undergraduate program from Georgetown University’s College of Arts & Sciences and the McDonough School of Business. It integrates rigorous business education with advanced study in one modern language, emphasizing cultural and linguistic competency crucial for global business. Students pursue a unified curriculum covering international business fundamentals alongside language and cultural studies, addressing ethical, technological, and global challenges. The degree cultivates skills to effect positive change and innovation in the world by understanding the intersections of business, society, and culture. Students must fulfill the university core, a joint program core preserving distinct aims of both colleges, and select a language concentration. IBLC students cannot double major with majors from other degree programs.
