The Master of Science in Economics at Ruprecht Karls University Heidelberg is a consecutive master's program intended for students seeking advanced knowledge and methodological skills in economics. The program is modular, offering five specialization tracks: Analytical Economics, Development Economics, Behavioral Economics, Macroeconomics and Financial Econometrics, and Environmental Economics. The first semester consists of compulsory modules determined by the chosen track, followed by elective and interdisciplinary courses. The third semester is designed for study abroad opportunities, such as through ERASMUS. The fourth semester is focused on the master's thesis, which must relate to the specialization track.
