The Bachelor of Science in Economics (25% or 50%) at the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Social Sciences, Ruprecht Karls University Heidelberg, offers a polyvalent undergraduate education. The program covers modern economic methods and concepts, providing students with a robust understanding of economic relationships. Students gain essential theoretical tools, mathematical methods, and empirical techniques, allowing them to analyze and develop economic and societal processes. The 25% version is intended as a minor with 35 ECTS credits; the 50% version is a major that can be completed as a subject option (for continuing to a Master's) or as a teaching degree option (for teaching qualification preparation). Both options require German as the language of instruction. The 50% major requires at least 74 ECTS in economics for progression to postgraduate study.
