The General LLM program at GW Law allows students to design their own course of study, exploring a wide range of issues in U.S. law with guidance from a faculty advisor. Students can tailor their coursework to focus on areas such as constitutional law, criminal law, labor law, corporate law, and healthcare law by selecting from an extensive catalog of required and elective offerings. The program integrates seminars, practical skills training, and opportunities for internships and networking in Washington, D.C., taking advantage of GW Law’s proximity to the White House, World Bank, and major federal agencies. Graduates become leaders in government, international organizations, judiciary, and private legal practice worldwide.
