The LLM in International Environmental Law at GW Law School offers graduate students the opportunity to specialize in complex issues at the intersection of environmental protection and international law. Located in Washington, D.C., the program benefits from proximity to governmental, intergovernmental, and non-governmental bodies, and offers access to a broad curriculum in environmental law (including air and water pollution, climate change, and international agreements) and advanced legal research. Coursework includes required classes such as Environmental Law and at least one of Air Pollution Control, Water Pollution Control, or International and Comparative Environmental Law. Students participate in classes with JD students and benefit from faculty expertise and access to local internship opportunities.
