The Master of Science in Sustainable Resource Management at the School of Life Sciences, Technical University of Munich, educates students to become innovative sustainability generalists by providing a modern vision of resource management built upon four pillars: ecology, socio-economics, production, and culture. Students analyze and evaluate the effects of human activities, develop interdisciplinary strategies for the responsible use of natural resources, and acquire strong methodological and planning skills. Graduates are equipped to find scalable and resilient solutions for global resource challenges, mediate between multiple stakeholders, and pursue careers in environmental consulting, ecosystem conservation, research, and managerial roles in governmental and non-governmental organizations. The curriculum allows students to customize their competence profile via nine scientific disciplines, emphasizing analytical thinking and solution-oriented teamwork. The program is taught in English at the Weihenstephan campus in Freising.
