The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) School of Natural Sciences is designed to provide students with comprehensive expertise in major areas of chemistry: inorganic, organic, analytical, physical, theoretical chemistry, and technical chemistry. The curriculum also covers mathematics, experimental physics, toxicology, patent law, and business administration. Students gain both thorough theoretical knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience. The program is research-oriented and concludes with a Bachelor’s thesis. It prepares graduates for careers in chemical and related industries or for further study in a Master’s program. The language of instruction is German, and sufficient German proficiency is required for admission. Tuition for international students from non-EU countries is 3,000 euros per semester (additional student union fees apply).
