The Master of Organisational Psychology at The University of Queensland is a two-year full-time postgraduate program offered by the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. It prepares students for practice as organisational psychologists by developing skills in critical analysis, problem solving, communication, consultation, and organisational change. The scientist-practitioner approach forms the academic and practical basis of the program, enabling students to understand and improve behaviour in workplace settings. Study includes courses in personnel training, organisational design, change management, leading in workplace, advanced assessment, psychological intervention, and a significant research dissertation. A key feature is 1000 hours of supervised placements across at least three different workplace settings, ensuring robust professional practice.
Graduates are prepared for roles such as organisational development specialist, employee assistance psychologist, talent manager, well-being consultant, and more. Completion meets the academic requirements for the PsyBA organisational psychology registrar program.
