The Master of Sports Medicine at The University of Queensland is a specialised program designed for registered general practitioners (GPs) who wish to develop or advance their expertise in sports medicine. The program focuses on providing clinical knowledge, research, and practical skills necessary for evidence-based practice in sports medicine. Graduates will be equipped to diagnose, treat, and manage exercise-related injuries in various populations, including amateur and elite athletes, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The program is delivered entirely online, allowing for flexible, work-based study through interactive learning materials and discussion forums. It includes 8 core subjects spread over two study periods, encompassing areas such as injury assessment, special groups, clinical exercise science, and research projects.
