The Bachelor of Arts in History at Woods College of Advancing Studies (Boston College) offers comprehensive study in American, European, Latin American, African, Middle Eastern, and Asian history, from premodernity to contemporary times. The curriculum cultivates critical thinking, primary source analysis, research methodology, and effective written/oral communication. Students complete a liberal arts core; five history electives (at least one focused on non-Western history); and develop skills in historical inquiry, data analysis, conflict resolution, and applied project work. The program prepares graduates to understand global complexity and pursue careers in law, business, government, education, and more.
