The Master of Social Work (MSW) Weekend Program at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University, is specifically designed for working professionals. Students attend intensive on-campus learning sessions one weekend per month (usually Saturday and Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), supported by online coursework and assignments during the intervening weeks. The curriculum emphasizes ethical practice, social justice, anti-racist leadership, and hands-on field education. Advanced standing is available to those with recent accredited BSW degrees and allows completion in two years. Standard entry (without a BSW) takes three years and includes all foundational MSW competencies required by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
