The Master of Science in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at ETH Zurich is offered in collaboration with the University of Basel and the University of Zurich. The program focuses on quantitative modeling and data analysis approaches in biosciences, helping students become effective problem solvers in computational biology and bioinformatics. The curriculum is highly flexible, with just one compulsory course; students design individual study programs with mentoring. Key learning areas include bioinformatics, biophysics, biosystems, and big data. The program requires lab rotations and offers the option of an 8-week industrial internship. The master's thesis lasts 6 months. Graduates qualify for high-demand roles in pharma, biotech, clinical data analysis, and academic research. All instruction is in English.
