The revised BSc ETH Arch programme launches in Fall Semester 2025. The curriculum follows an incremental competency structure, progressing from 'Foundations' through 'Positions' to 'Explorations,' and includes four continuous learning streams: Architecture & Arts, Histories & Building Culture, Environment & Society, and Building & Technology. The new 'Studio Foundations' 1st-year course emphasizes interdisciplinary and intuitive practical design. Instruction is primarily in German, with some English-taught modules, and interdisciplinary electives may be taken at ETH Zurich or the University of Zurich. Admission is highly competitive and requires strong academic performance in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and German proficiency.
