The EPFL ENAC Master of Science in Urban Systems is a two-year interdisciplinary graduate program starting in fall 2025, designed to train engineers and architects to address the complex challenges of sustainability in urban environments. The curriculum equips students with the technical, design, and strategic skills needed to plan and implement sustainable urban transitions. The program includes a core curriculum (34 ECTS) covering territorial design, systems engineering, policy, governance, and computational methods, alongside three specializations: Mobility and transportation in a changing climate, Sustainable transitions in urban systems, and Health and well-being in the urban environment. Project-based learning is central, with dedicated credits for core, specialization, and master’s projects. Graduates earn the EPFL MSc in Urban Systems and the protected title of EPF qualified Engineer.
