The Master of Law in International and Comparative Law (ICL) at the University of Zurich is designed to deepen students' knowledge in various areas of international and comparative law, building towards a career in an international legal environment. The program is taught entirely in English and targets students seeking a global perspective on legal studies, preparing them for work in internationally oriented law firms, organizations, and research. Students without a Swiss law degree need to take an additional compulsory module 'Introduction to Swiss Law.' The curriculum consists of core electives, electives from the full English-language LLM module offering, and a Master's thesis. Graduates are eligible for the Zurich bar exam but must independently supplement their Swiss law knowledge for the bar.
