This interdisciplinary bachelor’s program at the University of Zurich’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics provides foundational training in informatics (computer science) alongside a natural sciences minor, such as biology, geography, mathematics, or computational science. The curriculum consists of an initial assessment phase emphasizing informatics, mathematics, economics, and statistics, followed by an advanced phase allowing specialization. Graduates gain skills relevant for scientific IT applications, data analysis, modeling, and can continue at master’s level or pursue careers at the intersection of informatics and science. The program culminates in a bachelor’s thesis (18 ECTS). It is designed as a 120 ECTS major plus a mandatory 60 ECTS minor from the UZH Faculty of Science.
