The Bachelor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zurich, is a three-year undergraduate program (180 ECTS) that provides foundational education in human medicine, covering both natural/human sciences and basic clinical knowledge. The curriculum is structured to introduce students to the scientific bases of medicine (physiology, genetics, anatomy, biochemistry, etc.), the structure and function of the human body, organ systems, and early clinical reasoning. Training includes extensive lectures, practical courses, and GP internships. Instruction is in German. Upon successful completion, graduates can proceed directly to the Master's in Medicine, required to become a licensed physician.
