This interdisciplinary master's programme, jointly offered by the Faculty of Humanities and UMC Utrecht, trains students to tackle key challenges in healthcare and health through a unique blend of humanities and medical perspectives. The curriculum prepares students to critically examine the intersection of health, culture, ethics, digitalization, public trust in science, patient-provider relationships, and societal responses to mental health and healthcare system transformations. Graduates are equipped to conduct interdisciplinary research and provide innovative solutions for health and care sectors, often collaborating directly with societal stakeholders. The program started in 2022 and is the first of its kind in the Netherlands.
