The Master’s in European Governance at Utrecht University is an interdisciplinary double degree programme that addresses major challenges facing contemporary Europe—such as migration, financial regulation, climate transition, welfare state reform, and democratic legitimacy. Students gain expertise in governance, law, economics, and public administration, and learn to analyse and respond to complex European political issues. The programme is conducted in collaboration with partner institutions including Masaryk University (Czech Republic), University of Konstanz (Germany), and University College Dublin (Ireland). Students study in two countries (the first year at a partner, the second at Utrecht) and receive two master's degrees upon graduation. Graduates are well prepared for careers in government, EU institutions, international organisations, NGOs, consultancies, and the private sector.
