The Bachelor of Science in Human Geography & Planning at Utrecht University's Faculty of Geosciences offers students a multidisciplinary education focusing on the spatial organization of societies, cities, and regions. The program combines geography with planning, exploring topics such as urbanization, globalization, environmental issues, and the development and planning of sustainable cities. Students learn to analyze and understand spatial patterns and processes, and develop skills in research, policy advice, and the practical implementation of plans for urban and regional environments. Courses are available at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, and the language of instruction is primarily English for many courses to accommodate both Dutch and international students.
