Utrecht University's Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) is the only undergraduate program in the Netherlands that trains students to become veterinarians. The curriculum centers on the health and well-being of animals, public health, and prepares graduates for multidisciplinary veterinary challenges. The faculty emphasizes a 'One Health' perspective, connecting animal, human and environmental health. Upon completion, students typically progress into the Master's Veterinary Medicine to qualify for professional licensure, with the program recognized by European, US, and Canadian authorities. The faculty features the largest academic veterinary hospital in Europe, providing world-class practical and clinical training. Most courses are conducted in Dutch.
