The MSc Geo-Engineering programme at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences, TU Delft, is a specialized graduate-level track focused on the study and application of soil and rock mechanics, engineering geology, geomechanics, and underground space technology in civil engineering contexts. The programme provides in-depth knowledge in soil behaviour, constitutive modelling, geotechnical structures, numerical simulation, and practical site investigations. Students are trained to integrate geological data for advanced modelling and to address complex geo-hazards, urban challenges, and sustainability issues. The first year covers core theoretical and practical modules, while the second year offers opportunities for internships, projects abroad, and a thesis. There's significant emphasis on fieldwork, laboratory investigations, teamwork, professional networking, and ethical decision-making relevant to geo-risk management.
