The Master of Occupational Therapy Practice at Monash University, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, prepares students to enter the profession as practice-ready occupational therapists. The curriculum is designed around scenario-based learning (SBL), integrating knowledge from occupational science, biomedical, social, and behavioral sciences. Key learning units include Foundations of Occupational Therapy, Humans as Occupational Beings, Occupational Performance, Enabling Change in Human Occupation, and Advanced Professional Practice. Students must complete an extensive practice-based project and at least 1,000 hours of fieldwork, meeting the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) standards. The program welcomes applicants with a completed bachelor's degree in a related discipline and prepares graduates for a wide range of settings supporting clients' participation and wellbeing across the lifespan.
