The Master of Maritime Engineering at the University of Adelaide is an advanced program designed to address talent gaps in marine defence and civil industries. Students can specialize in either submarines or surface ships, with the curriculum covering submarine design, naval ship engineering, marine engineering, and systems engineering. Delivered in collaboration with ASC (Australia’s builder of Collins Class submarines), the program features intensive core courses, a substantial research project, and a choice of specialist electives. Industry-sponsored students gain workplace project experience. Exit qualifications are available after six months (Graduate Certificate) and 12 months (Graduate Diploma).
