The Master of Environmental Science at The University of Western Australia is an interdisciplinary program that provides advanced knowledge and practical skills to manage and solve environmental challenges. Students gain rigorous understanding of environmental processes, policy, data analysis, GIS, field and lab methods, and research skills. Specialisations allow deepening in areas such as Environmental Management, Environmental Economics, Marine and Coastal, Catchments and Water, Environmental Rehabilitation and Sensing and Data Science. The program is designed in consultation with industry to ensure graduates are prepared for a range of roles in public, private, and NGO sectors, including environmental consulting, resource management, and government agencies. Emphasis is placed on the development of skills for long-term sustainability and advanced problem-solving for complex environmental problems.
