The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), through the Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, offers a terminal Master of Engineering (ME) degree. The ME is a rigorous two-year program focused on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE). It is designed for students desiring advanced knowledge and specialization in computational methods across engineering and applied science fields. Students complete core coursework, electives, and—unlike the S.M. (Master of Science)—a year-long design project or thesis. The program prepares graduates for technical leadership roles in both industry and research, rather than doctoral study.
