This is an interuniversity master’s degree coordinated by the University of Barcelona (UB) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), mainly organized by the UB Faculty of Biology. It provides academic and professional training in oceanography and marine environmental management to graduates in experimental sciences (such as Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy, Marine Sciences, Civil/Geological Engineering). The program emphasizes advanced theoretical and practical knowledge, addresses marine conservation, resource management, oceanographic processes, marine biodiversity, and the effects of human activity and climate change on marine environments. Instruction is in Spanish (55%), Catalan (40%) and English (5%).
