The MS in Advanced and Intelligent Manufacturing at Northeastern University is designed to meet the rising demand for professionals in advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0. The curriculum integrates advanced, smart, and digital manufacturing principles, focusing on areas such as the Industrial Internet of Things, additive manufacturing (3D printing), advanced materials, process automation, sensing, AI, and digitalization. It is interdisciplinary, encompassing mechanical and industrial engineering, materials science, robotics, computer science, and business administration. Students may follow three tracks: coursework, project, or thesis, providing flexibility for career-oriented or research-focused paths.
