Mills College historically offered an innovative and renowned Master of Arts in Dance program, with a strong legacy in postmodern, contemporary, and experimental dance led by pioneering faculty. Mills College at Northeastern University continues to honor this history. However, after the 2022 merger with Northeastern, the original standalone dance graduate program was discontinued, and as of 2025 there is no active Master of Arts in Dance program currently accepting applications.
