The Northeastern University School of Law LLM program offers advanced legal education for US and internationally trained lawyers. The General LLM allows students maximum flexibility to select courses that fit their professional interests, including qualifying for a US bar exam. Concentrations are available, notably Intellectual Property and Innovation and International Business Law. Experiential learning is a cornerstone: students may complete a full-time legal co-op, gaining practical experience at law firms, nonprofits, government agencies, or companies. All LLM students complete at least 24 credits drawn from core foundational and elective upper-level JD courses. International students take foundational courses in US law and legal research. The program starts in the fall, with a rolling admissions process. Students may tailor their coursework toward their career goals or focus areas.
